      Qi-Gong

Many culture have a life force or vital energy concept. The Chinese call this energy Qi. Those who have applied western reductionism methods to figure out "what it is" have yet to identify with certainty the "atoms" or "waves" that make it up. Yet the effects of Qi-Gong, acupuncture, and other practices which have at their core the manipulation of this energy, have become widely recognized.

In the Chinese approach to health, the condition of a person's Qi, is the most critical determinant of people's health status. This life force is omnipresent and can be transferred and absorbed. It can be strengthened through various exercises and through the intervention of a Qi-gong master.

Qi-gong is literally the act of working on one's Qi. A Qi-gong master is someone who has achieved the ability to sense and cultivate this energy to a high degree. Such a master can guide students to get in touch with this energy, or help the sick to find, remove and root the cause of their illness, generally involving the elimination of the blockage of Qi. (the main cause of many dis-ease)
